Everyone as a child has had fantasies of being exceptional, scoring a free kick in a Champions League final, being mesmerized by a theater show, or captivated by a movie in their youth. Now, as an adult, he or she aspires to become an actor or dreams of becoming a renowned scientist, making groundbreaking discoveries.

What happens to most people is that the reality of their dreams diminishes over time. Dreams unrealized because of the destructiveness of society. They become lost in schools education that does not cater to their specific unique talents and personality. Raised by parents whose oblivious to truth and then a self-image eventually takes hold of the human in their adult years whose mind becomes conditioned and attracted to societal distractions.

Their dreams fade away. They become dead inside. The external pleasures do not satiate them, leaving them with a sense that something is missing in their life. In their later years, they often have bitter regrets predated by decades of unfulfillment and unconsciously inflict their disappointments to those around them.

If you are that person who do not want to live in fantasies, instead you wish to join the greats, the successes, someone who is remarkable, you'll need to engineer your whole life towards it.

Decide if this is the person you wish to be. For indecision is the biggest waste of time.

Stop wasting time dabbling in half-hearted ambition because you will not get time back. You won't even make it. Because no form of greatness extracts from part-time. Decide. And I'm talking fist flaming serious that this is who you really wish to be. Commit wholeheartedly to the person you genuinely aspire to become.

You can choose the comfort, clinging to security, overthinking, mediocrity and living a life unfilled. Or you can choose the risks, the excitement, the mania, the passion, the perseverance and at times challenges of struggle and confusion that ultimately lead to a life worth remembering.

You can choose to blame your environment, your parents, your lack of education or you can choose to change your surroundings, seek mentors, build a dream team and find people who share your goals and enthusiasm.

You can choose to believe the competition is too fierce and enamored by the talents you see and always be an outsider looking in. Or you can choose to explore your talents, play and experiment, build and create from sunrise to sunset, and unleash all that resides within you. You'll step back, stunned by what you're capable of, finding enormous pleasure in the process. Hard work will no longer seem trivial; instead, you'll derive immense satisfaction from the journey itself.

The truth is, the competition is low and mediocre, and you'll understand why by studying this site long enough.

You can choose to lose yourself to addictions, digital distractions, and just another number as an employee, or you can take on big, bold, audacious goals and pursue an endeavor with an intense obsession that one day, others will seek you for guidance and inspiration.

And when that day arrives, you will find the noises of self-doubt dissolve into silence. You will notice any tight clenching of insecurity, bitterness, anger, and smallness evaporate, transcended by high self-esteem with the feeling of being in control, boldness, power, poise, extraordinary, and peace of mind. The world becomes your playground, and you eagerly anticipate competing there and being comfortable being around those you previously perceived outside your comfort zone.

...And you'll realize all that the narratives your mind's been feeding you are lies and limitations. Conditioned by your surroundings of school, parents, friends and even your own perceptions.

And you'll come to understand intricately HOW the mind lies to you, studying this site long enough.

It is a huge mistake to believe that within every industry, everyone in it lives the path of devotion. That their spirit has become "one" with their craft. And amongst the devotees, the exceptionally gifted are the ones who's able to achieve success in their respective domains, whether it be sport, acting industry, entrepreneurship or any other craft.

That is simply untrue.

Hardly anybody is truely devoted ! Genuine devotion is a rarity.

If everybody is walking the path of devotion and pursuing the whole truth in their industry wholly and wholeheartedly, then the competition would be fierce and difficult to succeed in. However, the truth is, hardly anybody is completely monomaniacally focused on the one pursuit they wish to be great at. Nowadays, above average is becoming good enough to hire because everybody else is below par.

Understand this and this alone, and you'll surpass everyone.

When you envision the person you want to be and the particular craft suited to your inclination, you'll feel the adrenaline rush of excitement and obsession. The craft must not be pursue for the love of status but by a genuine love for the craft itself. This must be etched in your heart, otherwise, you'll waste valuable years chasing something half-hearted, without your full talent.
